Staples Center 1111 S Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA, 90015

The arena is about 950,000 square feet and it hosts a great number of events and legions of fans every year. For example, in 2012 it hosted more than 250 events and approximately 4,000,000 guests. The construction was started at the arena in 1998 and it was opened later in 1999, and it took its name from Staples, Inc, one of the corporations that were among the major sponsors. The inauguration was on October 17th, 1999 with a concert of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.

Since its opening, the venue has hosted concerts of several artists and it was one of the most scheduled venues in artists’ tours The Classic West Tickets. For instance, Maria Carey performed in the arena as part of her Rainbow World Tour in 2000, and it was as well part of The Beyoncé Experience Tour in 2007, and many other artists stopped by the venue while in their tours.

In 2010, modifications have been implemented on the arena with refurbished locker rooms for sports teams. A new high-definition center-hung video scoreboard was installed and took place of the older one that was in the arena since its opening. And this year, the arena is chosen to be one of vegetarian-friendly NBA venues and topped the PETA's list.
